Cherry Almond Smoothie

Makes 2 servings


1 cup frozen or fresh black
    sweet pitted cherries
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt or kefir
4 ice cubes

¼ cup toasted whole almonds
1 tsp almond extract
2 tsp granulated sugar
2 Tbsp ground golden flax


In a blender, combine cherries, yogurt or kefir, ice cubes, almonds, almond extract, sugar and flax.
