Diagnosis

If you think you have psoriatic arthritis, make an appointment to see your doctor, then explain the following:

  • What symptoms you are having
  • When you first noticed the symptoms
  • How frequently they occur and how long they last
  • What makes you feel better
  • If you are having any nail problems, such as pitting or ridges on the nail surface, or the nail plate lifting.

Alert! Psoriatic arthritis can severely damage joints if left untreated, so it’s important to alert your doctor right away if you have been feeling stiff.
